ARE YOU DEPRESSED???
You don't have to be...
You don't have to be...

First and foremost, if you're depressed, a relationship with Jesus can go a long way towards making you whole again!
Is it a cure-all?
No, it isn't...a LOT depends on you and the decisions you make; I know things've been hard, but you can't let that bring you down...when Jesus prayed for someone, He often said, "Let it be unto you according to your FAITH."
Think hard about what you believe - you might even write it down! THEN look over what you wrote, think about what you would like to change, and start there...
Pray and ask Jesus to help you make those changes - it's as simple as praying
"Lord Jesus: I don't like the way I am, or the way I feel; help me to think about myself and see myself and my situation the way YOU see me..."

After you do this, if you still feel badly, keep reading!

If you're depressed, don't feel like the Lone Ranger, 'cause you're not by yourself!

Lots of people feel tired, worn out, used, abused, mistreated, and unappreciated...and as you get older, those feelings can get worse, simply because you've been going through it all for
su-uch a lo-ong time!!!"

I’ve been married to the same woman for well over thirty years now, and I love her a LOT!
When she’s sick, I worry.
Since she’s been sick daily for the last nine or ten years, it’s sometimes hard for me, and often I’m depressed.
I feel out of it, not interested in doing things I usually enjoy.
Sometimes I get angry, at other times I just want to sleep.

It’s times like these that I run to Jesus Christ, or to the Father, or to the Lord Holy Spirit.

I run get my Bible.

I read “With God, all things are possible.”

I read that “I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any created thing can separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus my Lord.”

I read "Behold, I give you power over serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."

I pray a little more, ask the Lord to help me understand His Word, and use it properly.

My faith is strengthened…I feel like going on , and not only going on, but FIGHTING!

And I continue to go on, not only living, but standing against my Lord's enemies - enemies like fear, doubt, and unbelief.
Enemies like sickness, and pain.

I'm comforted to know that one day, Patsy and I will live with Jesus in Heaven, with NEW bodies that can do marvelous things, bodies that don't hurt. or get sick, or suffer in any way.

You know what the Bible has to say about you?
Psalm 139:14 says you are fearfully and wonderfully made...

God wants you to have grace, mercy, and peace:

2John 1:3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

Sounds pretty wild, doesn't it? God. the Creator of the universe, is actually interested in you!

Hard to imagine, I know...
Now try to imagine THIS:

1Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

God knows those who love Him, and has prepared things that are so wonderful that you can't even imagine them!
Of course, you have to LOVE Him...

It's hard to love someone you've never met - so if you want to love Jesus or His Father, you have to MEET them first!

Let me introduce you:

I'm going to pray now:

"Jesus, I'd like You to meet someone - they're right here - and they've had it pretty rough! I'm bringing them to You, because I know You loved them enough to die for them, that You can help them with their problems, and I know they need You..."

All right, you go ahead - start pouring out your heart!

Tell Jesus every problem you're having...and while you're at it, ask Him to forgive you of any sin in your life, and ask Him to be your Saviour...He DID Die for you, you know!

See here?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You see, this is Bible, and if you've never believed on Jesus before then you're condemned already, BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE!

So go back up there to that prayer, and have a heart-to-heart talk with Jesus - and get RID of that nasty depression!

You'll feel better...I know I did!
