Serving Jesus
I love being with Jesus...He gives me peace, talks to me when I'm down, expresses pleasure with me when I do well. I never used to notice these things, but now i do, more and more. Am I getting old? Older, yes, we all are - but as we get older, we should also get wiser, and one sign of wisdom is honoring God with yur life. Serve God with your body, soul and spirit...God is pleased with this type of service !
April 22,2004 Many folks get saved, go to church on Sunday (and Wednesday) and never ever do anything else. I don't question their salvation, but that sort of life is kind of like going to Disney World and just getting a hot dog, then going home. You can do it, but what a waste!
If you are not ACTIVELY ministering to Jesus in some way at church or in the world, then you are missing SO MUCH! Let me make a few points: 1. God made you, and you are talented, baby! He MADE you that way! 2. God wants to have a RELATIONSHIP with you, an active relationship where there is give and take on both sides. 3. God wants to talk to you when you pray.
He isn't just a wish-granting Genie; He loves you and wants to speak to you. Next time you pray, ask him to tell you what He wants to, then be quiet for awhile and listen.
The Lord Jesus said, "Give, and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over shall men give unto your bosom." We show Jesus our faith by what we do - WE GIVE FIRST!
You have the Holy Spirit in you; you don't need to be taught what to do - you need to be motivated to get out there and DO IT! STEP OUT IN FAITH! Be a witness! Help others! Mow your neighbor's lawn! Buy a gift for a stranger! Love someone - and then tell them WHY you love them!
If you will pray and LISTEN to God's instruction, you will do things like this and so much more! Sure, it's scary sometimes, but walking in faith is so REWARDING! How would you feel if someone you didn't witness to died and went to hell? *******************************************
