HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M SAVED?
FIRST, YOU NEED TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST! You must believe Jesus is the Son of God, and that He died for YOU. Going to church will not save you! Being a nice person will not save you! John 3:16 says "God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life." Jesus told Nicodemus in this same chapter (John chapter 3) that "You must be born again," referring to a spiritual rebirth. This is the relationship we're talking about! How do you get this relationship ? Just ask Jesus for it! Example: "Jesus, I know you are the Son of God; please forgive me of my sins, come into my heart and have an active relationship with me. I want to know You, walk with You, talk with You, have a relationship with You." Just pour out your heart to Jesus! After you start this wonderful relationship, you'll want to TELL someone about it - be sure that you DO! It's called "sharing" and it's how we spread the Word about Jesus! Later on, you'll still have problems...but none you'll ever go through ALONE... When you are discouraged, TELL HIM! When you are happy, LET HIM KNOW! Bad day at work? TALK TO JESUS ABOUT IT! Spouse giving you a hard time? TELL JESUS! Whatever it is, Jesus wants to hear about it! Jesus loved you enough to DIE a horrible death for you...it was HIS FAITH that made it possible for you to be a Christian...now use YOUR FAITH to respond to His death; ask Him to be your Savior today.
